VXLAN Overlay Networks for Intra-Site Connectivity

VMease leverages VXLAN (Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network) technology to create flexible, scalable Layer 2 overlay networks within your data center infrastructure. VXLAN encapsulates Ethernet frames in UDP packets, allowing virtual networks to span across multiple physical hosts and switches without VLAN limitations. This enables VMease to support thousands of isolated tenant networks, each with their own broadcast domains and security boundaries. The VXLAN implementation in VMease integrates seamlessly with Proxmox VE's software-defined networking stack, providing automatic VTEP (VXLAN Tunnel Endpoint) configuration and distributed switching capabilities that scale horizontally as your infrastructure grows.

EVPN-BGP for Inter-Site Virtual Network Extension

For multi-site deployments, VMease implements EVPN (Ethernet VPN) with BGP control plane to extend virtual networks across geographically distributed data centers. EVPN-BGP provides MAC and IP address learning, optimal unicast and multicast forwarding, and automatic failover capabilities between sites. This allows tenant workloads to seamlessly migrate between locations while maintaining network connectivity and IP addressing. VMease's EVPN implementation enables flexible deployment options whether connecting over public internet, private circuits, or hybrid network architectures.

VyOS Virtual Router Platform

VMease integrates VyOS, the open-source network operating system, to provide comprehensive Layer 3 networking services within virtual environments. VyOS virtual routers deliver enterprise-grade routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and static routing, along with advanced features like policy-based routing and route redistribution. Each tenant can have dedicated VyOS instances providing isolated routing domains with full administrative control over their network policies. The VyOS integration supports dynamic routing protocol configuration through VMease's management interface, enabling automatic network discovery and convergence as virtual infrastructure scales.

Integrated Security and Firewall Services

VyOS virtual routers in VMease provide stateful firewall capabilities with zone-based security policies, and the firewall engine supports both IPv4 and IPv6 with application-layer filtering and connection tracking. VMease enables per-tenant firewall rule management through a centralized interface while maintaining complete isolation between customer environments.

VPN and Remote Access Solutions

VMease's VyOS integration provides comprehensive VPN services including IPsec site-to-site tunnels and WireGuard modern VPN protocols. Multi-tenant VPN services allow each customer to establish secure connections to their virtual infrastructure while maintaining complete isolation from other tenants. VMease includes VPN monitoring and logging capabilities with integration into the centralized management dashboard for visibility into connection status, bandwidth utilization, and security events.

Network Address Translation and DHCP Services

VyOS virtual routers provide flexible NAT (Network Address Translation) capabilities including source NAT, destination NAT, and port forwarding for both IPv4 and IPv6 environments. VMease offers NAT rule configuration based on tenant requirements while supporting both static and dynamic address translation policies. The integrated DHCP service offers centralized IP address management with support for DHCP reservations.
