Real-Time Replication
Continuous data replication with minimal latency ensures your VMs are always synchronized across sites.
Orchestrated Failover
Completely automated failover after a manual trigger orchestrates the entire recovery process, including VM promotion, IP assignment, and network configuration.
Low RTO/RPO
Achieve recovery time objectives under 15 minutes and recovery point objectives under 1 minute.
Replication Monitoring
Comprehensive dashboard to monitor replication health, bandwidth usage, and synchronization status.
Native QEMU-Based Block Replication
VMease takes advantage of QEMU’s built-in drive-mirror and blockdev-mirror capabilities to enable native, live block-level replication of virtual machines between VMease platforms — without needing third-party agents or storage-specific replication. This approach replicates disk writes in real-time to a secondary Proxmox node or cluster at a remote site, achieving extremely low Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), often just seconds. Because it operates at the hypervisor layer, replication is storage-agnostic and works across different backends such as ZFS, LVM, or Ceph.
Orchestrated Failover, Simple Control
Through the VMease interface, CSPs can configure cross-site replication with just a few clicks. Once set up, the primary VM continuously mirrors its disk changes to a standby image on the remote site. In the event of a site issue — or for planned maintenance or DR drills — operators can trigger a manual failover, after which VMease orchestrates the entire recovery process: stopping the primary VM, promoting the replica, assigning IP and network profiles, and optionally re-integrating with authentication and DNS systems.
Sandbox or Production Ready
VMease allows flexibility in the failover destination: VMs can be restored into sandboxed test networks for non-disruptive DR validation, or into fully-routed production environments for immediate service resumption. This dual-mode approach supports both routine DR testing and live disaster scenarios, helping providers meet compliance requirements and customer SLAs. By avoiding proprietary dependencies, VMease keeps replication lightweight and portable between data centers or hosting zones.
UX-Driven Simplicity
Setting up replication between VMease sites is designed to be intuitive and guided. From the tenant or CSP dashboard, admins can select a VM, define the target site, choose a network policy (sandbox or routed), and initiate real-time mirroring. Built-in validation checks and real-time replication monitoring reduce setup errors and operational risk. When it’s time to fail over, one button initiates the entire failover workflow with automated orchestration but controlled human initiation — keeping CSPs in charge while reducing complexity.
Built for High Resilience
By leveraging QEMU’s native mirroring, VMease ensures no reliance on snapshotting or periodic syncs that can introduce VM stuns or data gaps. Replication traffic is streamed continuously, making it ideal for mission-critical workloads that require near-zero data loss tolerance. Combined with tenant isolation and VMease's granular role-based access controls, this feature enables CSPs to offer true Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) with full confidence and control.
