Audit log

Purpose

  • Review a trail of events across the active account and all descendant accounts.
  • Identify the account, user, and event type behind each entry.
  • Inspect an event's full payload for troubleshooting and correlation.
  • Narrow the trail to a specific date range.

Prerequisites

  • Available to root accounts only; this view replaces the former Northbound Monitoring.
  • Minimum permission to view: platform.auditlog.read

View the audit log

  1. Open Platform → Audit Log (root account only).
  2. Review the columns: Timestamp, Account, Level, Event Type, User Email, and Payload.
  3. Timestamps are shown as dd/mm/yyyy, HH:MM:SS.
  4. Expected result: events from all accounts in the subtree are listed.

Filter and inspect events

  1. Open Platform → Audit Log (root account only).
  2. Use the Date range filter to limit events to a period.
  3. Click a row to open its full event payload.
  4. Expected result: the selected event's payload is displayed for inspection.

Best Practices

  • Use the Account and User Email columns to attribute an action to a specific tenant and operator.
  • Open an event's payload to correlate it with related tasks or resources.
  • Narrow the date range before scanning for a specific incident.
