Login and session basics

Accessing the Login Page

  1. Open the VMease WebUI URL in your browser.
  2. You will be directed to the login screen (/ or /login) if you are not authenticated.
  3. Enter your assigned admin credentials.

Signing In

  1. After successful authentication, you are redirected to the main landing area (/home / dashboard).
  2. Available menu items are filtered based on your assigned permissions.
  3. If your role has limited permissions, some sections may not appear in the side navigation.

Session Behaviour

  1. Your authenticated session is maintained while the session remains valid.
  2. During an active session, you can navigate between authorized pages without re-entering credentials.
  3. If your session expires or becomes invalid, you are redirected back to login.

Authorization vs Authentication

  1. Authentication confirms your identity (valid username/password).
  2. Authorization controls what you can access after login (RBAC permissions).
  3. A successful login does not guarantee access to all admin features.

Unauthorized Access Handling

  1. If you attempt to open a page without the required permission, WebUI routes you to an unauthorized page (/unauthorized) or blocks content via protected routing.
  2. Missing navigation entries usually indicate insufficient permission rather than a system error.
  1. Always log out when finished using the admin console.
  2. Do not leave active sessions unattended on shared workstations.
  3. If you suspect a session compromise, log out immediately and notify your security team.
