Logging

Purpose

  • Review account and organisation events in one time-ordered log.
  • See each event's timestamp, severity level, type, and initiating user.
  • Inspect the full payload of any event to correlate it with an operation.
  • Narrow the log to a specific date range.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum permission to view: organisation.logging.read
  • Events are scoped to your active account context.
  • The platform-wide, cross-account view is the Audit Log under Platform (root account only): platform.auditlog.read

View the event log

The log uses a fixed column layout.

  1. Open Organisation → Logging.
  2. Review the columns: Timestamp, Level, Event Type, User Email, and Payload.
  3. The log defaults to the last 7 days.
  4. Expected result: recent events for your account context are listed.

Filter by date range

  1. Open Organisation → Logging.
  2. Use the date range control to set the from and to dates.
  3. Expected result: the log reloads to show only events within the selected range.

Inspect an event

  1. Open Organisation → Logging.
  2. Select a row to open its full event payload.
  3. Read the payload to correlate the event with the operation that produced it.
  4. Close the payload view to return to the log.
  5. Expected result: the complete event details are shown for the selected entry.

Best Practices

  • Narrow the date range before reviewing so the log stays fast and readable.
  • Use the Event Type and User Email columns to trace who performed an action and when.
  • Open the payload to confirm exactly what an operation changed.
  • Use the root-only Audit Log for events that span multiple accounts.
